| TRANSIT OPTIONS |
The Memphis Area Transit Authority (MATA) operates two bus transfer and park & ride facilities in Downtown Memphis, located at the northern and southern ends of Main Street. In addition to an extensive bus service, MATA runs a Downtown-Airport Shuttle (DASH), which runs from major Downtown hotels to the Memphis International Airport only 15 minutes away. AMTRAK runs its passenger service through Central Station Downtown, offering daily transportation north to Chicago and south to New Orleans. Other providers offer taxi, carriage service, riverboat, train travel, and other modes of transportation into and around Downtown. |
