The City of Memphis and Shelby County are in the process of adopting the Memphis and Shelby County Unified Development Code (UDC). The UDC is a single ("unified") document containing zoning and subdivision regulations, along with the any other development-related regulations found elsewhere in the City or County code of ordinances. The UDC contains several form-based regulatory tools that focus on how buildings and streets work together to create a viable and pedestrian friendly public realm. The Unified Development Code (UDC) website may be viewed by clicking on the link: www.memphis.code-studio.com.
The latest public review draft of the Memphis and Shelby County Unified Development Code is now available for review and comment. Let us know what you think by emailing comments and questions to Don Jones – Project Coordinator at john.jones@memphistn.gov.
